Erdogan – The 21st Century's Sultan Salahuddin Ayubi

         The Standing Leader of Muslim Ummaha with an effective voice.

“If you are the leader, you have to communicate the message of immortality to your people. Because I believe if a leader hides behind a rock, then the people will hide behind a mountain” believes Hafiz Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The great conqueror Sultan Salah-Din Ayubi holds very great importance in the History of the Middle East, especially in the Muslim culture. It was he who gave the big break to the Muslim world by conquering Jerusalem from crusaders on 2nd October 1,187AD.

 He was famous not only in the Muslim world but also in other faiths for his characteristics policy like honesty, Justice, word-keeping, and mercy. By having a glimpse at an event while conquering Jerusalem: Salah –Din’s army had great might and also being the outnumbered than crusaders' army. He gave the chance to crusaders to leave Jerusalem and he will not harm anyone. And the Balian of Ibelin bargained the safe passage with a minimal amount. And when their treasures broke and can’t pay for all of their citizens. Salah–din decided to free them all without any exchange. This behavior melt the hatred of people and several families of crusaders did not even leave Jerusalem and preferred to stay there. On conquering Jerusalem the first Friday “khutba” was given by Shafii scholar Muhyi al-Din ibn al-zaki ^(r.a).

In the same context, Hafiz Recep Tayyip Erdogan had achieved success to reopen the Hagia Sophia as a mosque despite a lot of pressure from western societies like the European Union and The pope as well. Despite opposition, he had acted like the standing man of ummaha. And for most, the Salah–din inside of him did not let him down. And stands beside the shoulders of his own people. On such occasion, Hafiz Recep Tayyip Erdogan recites the Holy Quran on the opening of Hagia Sophia as a Mosque by starting with Suraha Faitha.

As the representative of Muslim ummaha, he has proved himself to be such in various spheres. The Salah-Din inside of him doesn’t let him bear the cruelty which has slashed upon Muslim ummaha. And for which he raised his voice every time on any platform whether national or international. Some important standing statements are highlighted here:

End of Karabakh Occupation of Armenia: Despite the resolutions given by the United Nations Security Council and United Nations General Assembly to end the Armenian occupation and withdrawal of the Armenian Army in Karabakh. Resolutions from both authorities don’t receive much attention from Armenia. To end their regime in Karabakh. Full aid and military support is given by Hafiz Recep Tayyip Erdogan to end the Armenian occupation.

Defense on al-Aqsa Mosque: On the barbarian attacks on al-Aqsa mosque and killings of civilians in Palestine by Israeli forces. He directed all the Muslim world to help the brotherhood. And he called as “I call on all Muslims around the world. Anyone who has the opportunity should visit (Al Aqsa) to Palestine following the advice of our prophet (saw) or find a way to help our brothers therein”.

Outspoken against UN: As the thinker of Muslim Ummaha, his thinking is highly regarded all over the Muslim world. As he has a desire that one of the Muslim countries should be a permanent member of the Security Council. And he expressed his restlessness as “Quarter of the world’s population is Muslim but do we have a single representative in Security Council “No”. Is there any point or meaning of being a temporary member in the Security Council “No”? What I’m saying is the world is which more than five countries which make up the Security Council of the United Nations”.

Bosnia Massacre: The genocide that takes place inside Bosnia which is also known as the Srebrenica Genocide where thousands of Muslims were killed and raped. After all this in April 2013, Serbian president Tomislav Nikolic refused to call it Genocide. At that Moment Hafiz Erdogan condemned this whole massacre and let the world pay heed again; “They have nothing to do with civilization. They have nothing to do with the modern world. They are the ones who massacre over 8000 Bosnian Muslims in Srebrenica massacre”.

Stand up to the US: By putting the Bain on electronics of US as a retaliation Measure adopted by Turkey on the sanctions against it, by throwing the Turkish Lira low of records. He immediately came up with the retaliatory policy, to tackle the sanction and briefed “We will impose the boycott on US electronic products. If they have iPhones, there is Samsung on the other side. We need to keep firm on our political stance”

Stand Up to Israel: Upon the ongoing genocide in Palestine, led by Israel. He condemns the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people with serious words “A crime without punishment makes the criminal more brutal that is raising behind the rising Israel’s crimes. No peace and stability are possible in the region unless Israel is called count to international law over murder and massacre. The only way to peace is the establishment of a sovereign and independent Palestine under 1967 borders with its capital in east Jerusalem. And there must be pressure on Israel for that.”

Quran and Sunnah: On the population control Measure policy of Europe. He refuted and condemn it as “They talk about population planning birth control. No Muslim family can have such approach. We will follow the path and advice of Allaha and prophet (saw)”.

Defends true Islam: Markel chancellor of Germany holded the meeting in the Turkish capital in 2017. She said, "We had talked extensively about fighting Islamist terror. And agreed that we want to collaborate closely.”

Hafiz Recep Tayyip Erdogan replied: “Look the term 'Islamist terror' seriously upset us Muslims. That term should not be used it’s not right, because Islam and terror cannot come together. As a Muslim president, I cannot accept such terminology.”

Support in Burma: Rohingya Genocide, series of persecution by the Myanmar Military over Rohingya Muslims. Which set the record of 36000 Muslims thrown on the fire in a single execution.  Hafiz Erdogan is the only one who supported the Muslims at such time by providing financial aid and condemning it on most of the platforms at the international level.

Kashmir issue on 74^th UNGA session: He defended the Kashmir issue as“In order for the Kashmiri people to look at a safe future together with their Pakistani and Indian neighbors, it is imperative to solve the problem through dialogue and on the basis of justice and equity, but not through collision. The international community still doesn’t pay enough attention to the Kashmir conflict that awaits a solution for the last 72 years. The future and prosperity of South Asia cannot be separated from the Kashmir Issue”.

There is a very thin line between being a Human and being inhumane. Once you have crossed the line you wouldn’t be able to know what you are dealt with. However, in the Muslim world, there are international platforms as well formed by Muslim nations like OIC which comprises 57 members including the nuclear-capable country like Pakistan. Besides, it has mostly referred to as the “Paper Tiger” which can’t find its stance anywhere except in papers. However, Hafiz Recep Tayyip Erdogan will continue his journey towards the welfare of Muslim Ummaha. The spirit and enthusiasm of Sultan Salah-Din will remain inside him forever. Whenever he gets the notion that the Muslim ummaha is fallen prey, he will raises his voice again and again till eternity and will be the standing Leader the of ummaha.
